A one-day Free Eye Care Camp, organized under the initiative of Khulna Metropolitan BNP, was successfully held at Raiar Mahal Secondary School, Khalishpur, drawing nearly 300 patients from surrounding areas.
From early morning, residents gathered to receive free eye checkups, medical advice, and eyeglasses under the supervision of expert ophthalmologists. The camp also identified 20 patients who will undergo free cataract and duct surgeries in the coming weeks.
This social program was carried out with the direct and indirect cooperation of Alhaj Rakibul Islam Bakul, a prominent social worker, philanthropist, and the BNP-nominated candidate for Khulna-3 constituency. His active involvement ensured the event’s smooth organization and impact.
The initiative was inspired by the guidance of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, who has called on members to contribute to a “Constructive and Humane Bangladesh.” Reflecting this philosophy, Khulna BNP’s efforts showcased their commitment to public welfare and social responsibility.
Sheikh Sadi, Organizational Secretary of Khulna Metropolitan BNP, along with leaders from Khalishpur Thana BNP and Ward No. 14, attended the camp. They lauded the program as a reflection of BNP’s dedication to social development and civic engagement.
This free medical initiative not only restored sight but also reinforced the message that political commitment to social welfare can bring tangible change. Through ongoing initiatives like this, Khulna BNP continues to strengthen its connection with the community and promote the values of collective well-being and care.
